Working under the stage name of ‘Richard Garrick’, Richard Thomas O’Brien entered the film industry in Los Angeles, California, working in silent movies both as a director and an actor. Along with Marlon Brando, he appeared in the production of ‘A Street Car Named Desire’ in 1947, later performing in the film version of the show in 1951. Throughout his illustrious career, O’Brien performed with some the entertainment industry’s biggest names, including Charles Laughton, Vivien Leigh, Victor Mature, Marilyn Monroe, and Richard Widmark.
