Considered one of the finest tenors of the twentieth century, John McCormack made his London operatic debut at Covent Garden in 1907 and toured extensively throughout the world, achieving peak popularity in the United States. One of the highlights of his career came when he had the opportunity to sing ‘Panis Angelicus’ during the Eucharistic Congress in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
