ACTOR, POET & PLAYWRIGHT

Following the conclusion of World War I in which he served in the British Army, Bill MacNevin returned to Newbridge, County Kildare to pursue his acting career and adopted the name Val Vousden as he toured Ireland with a number of theatrical companies. Upon the launch of Radio Éireann, he was the presenter of the first radio broadcasted light entertainment show in Ireland and he appeared regularly at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin while also featuring in a number of films.
